SuperCycle lets you calculate distance travelled using GPS or, for better accuracy, Bluetooth speed sensors:
- Physical Wheel Sensor Priority: If a paired speed sensor is spinning, SuperCycle computes speed and distance from wheel revolutions multiplied by your configured tire circumference. This eliminates GPS drift in heavy tree cover, urban canyons, or tunnels.
- GPS Fallback: If no wheel sensor is paired (or its battery dies), SuperCycle automatically calculates distance and speed from high-precision GPS coordinates.
- Configuring Tire Size: The app does not have automatic roll-out calibration. To set up your speed sensor, go to Bikes → [Select Bike] → Tire size. Select your tire size from the built-in list or choose Custom and enter your exact tire circumference in millimeters.
