SuperCycle Pro Pro Features

Connecting Smart Indoor Trainers via FTMS (SuperCycle Pro)

Pair Bluetooth FTMS stationary smart trainers in SuperCycle Pro for indoor riding telemetry.

SuperCycle Pro Exclusive: Smart trainer (FTMS) support is available in SuperCycle Pro.

SuperCycle Pro supports the standard Bluetooth FTMS (Fitness Machine Service) protocol used by Wahoo KICKR, Tacx Neo/Flux, Saris H3, Elite Direto, and Zwift Hub:

  1. Plug in and power on your smart trainer.
  2. In SuperCycle Pro, go to Sensors → Add Sensor → Stationary Bike / Smart Trainer (FTMS) (or scan via the Sensor Library).
  3. Add FTMS data widgets (such as Power, Cadence, or Trainer resistance) to your data grid layouts.

With FTMS connected, SuperCycle Pro captures real-time wattage, cadence, and speed, controls trainer resistance, executes structured ZWO workouts, and lets you replay your favorite routes indoors.

Why Speed in SuperCycle Differs from Zwift:
If you run SuperCycle alongside Zwift or another virtual cycling app, the displayed speeds will often differ:
  • Zwift Speed: A virtual physics simulation calculated from your power output, rider weight, equipment drag, and in-game road gradient (e.g. slowing you down drastically on an 8% climb).
  • SuperCycle Speed: Reflects the physical flywheel or axle speed reported directly by the trainer hardware. Because SuperCycle does not have access to Zwift's internal virtual grade, it will not simulate Zwift's terrain braking.
Simultaneous Bluetooth Connections:
Unlike small coin-cell sensors, modern smart trainers often support 2 or 3 simultaneous Bluetooth connections. This enables you to stream power and cadence to Zwift on your PC/tablet and SuperCycle Pro on your phone at the same time.
Important: Avoid Trainer Control Conflicts with Zwift:
Running Zwift and SuperCycle Pro at the same time can cause conflicts if both apps attempt to control the trainer simultaneously. If you are running Zwift, do not use the FTMS Route or FTMS Workout widgets in SuperCycle Pro. Allow Zwift to control the trainer's resistance, incline, and ERG target power, while using SuperCycle Pro solely to record and display your ride metrics (such as watts, cadence, heart rate, and W'bal).
Tire / Wheel Size Configuration:
Make sure the correct wheel or trainer axle circumference is configured in your bike profile or sensor settings. Some direct-drive trainers require a specific non-standard circumference to report accurate speed and distance.
