ServiceCacls is a utility with a graphical user interface that allows an
administrator to view and modify security settings of Windows NT
Services.

could render your computer unbootable or prevent software applications from
running.

You should have a good working knowledge of Windows NT Security including:

Discretionary access control lists (DACL).

Access control entries (ACE) .

Basic and service specific access permissions.

Security descriptors.

Security Identifiers (SID).

You must be logged in as an administrator to run or install this program.

ServiceCacls allows you to perform the following functions on Windows NT
Services:

Change or take ownership.

Set a NULL DACL.
-
Set an EMPTY DACL.
-
View, add or remove ACEs in a DACL.
-
Modify access permissions in an ACE.
Requirements:
Windows NT 4.0 or later, Windows 2000/XP, administrator rights.
